    "body": "<p><strong>BRUSSELS &mdash; October 7, 2026</strong></p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Valentijn de Neve, Chief Executive Officer of BlueAlp, and Daniel Odenthal, Chief Operating Officer of Arcus Greencycling, have been re-elected for a second term as President and Vice President of Chemical Recycling Europe (CRE), respectively. They will be joined by Dimitri Daniels of Helix Projects, who will serve as Treasurer, and two new Board members: Carlos Monreal of Plastic Energy and Eric Appelman of Aduro Clean Technologies. It is set to adopt implementing and delegated acts on mass balance, equivalence criteria for imports, and sustainability criteria for recycling technologies. Those acts will determine how chemically recycled plastic counts toward the recycled-content targets taking effect in 2030, and, in turn, will influence demand, investment decisions and the development of new recycling capacity in Europe. </p><p><em>&quot;Our members are increasingly building capacity, with several plants already up and running today,&quot;</em><em><strong> said Valentijn de Neve, President of CRE</strong></em><em>. &quot;If Europe wants to meet its recycled-content targets, progress on innovation, implementing acts, and investments will be critical.
